The single most immediate threat to our environment is not Global Warming, it is not a growing hole in the ozone, it is not the introduction of invasive species that threaten entire ecosystems; it is the lack of education that allows all of these things to occur in the first place. We can change the outlook of our planet for our generation and for all to come with the most powerful tool known to man, knowledge. Knowledge in how we can make a positive difference, to our earth and to each other.

Al Gore and the U.N. climate panel

Al Gore and the U.N. climate panel won the Nobel Peace Prize today for their work in raising international awareness to global warming and calling for strong action "before climate change moves beyond man's control".

This is a fantastic step in the right direction for all of us, increasing the validity of the cause tremendously. Hopefully it will raise pressure for all nations to step up efforts and implement mandatory measures to reduce their carbon footprint.
